Cerebral Palsy | (ser`e-bral pal-sze) is a medical condition caused from damage to the brain of an infant. The damage may be due to illness of the mother before birth or the damage may be done during the birth process. The result of the damage is the inability to control and coordinate muscles and these difficulties may range from mild too severe. Exact symptoms may vary and can include extremely stiff or extremely floppy muscles, or a fluctuation between the two. There are several classifications of cerebral palsy but they all present with the movement difficulties. | Back to Listing |
